Milanese cocktail….I took this picture through a window of a famous bar between two of the most touristic places in Milan (the duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II). I had noticed that this window was either revealing, either reflecting many parts of the surroundings and lively circulation of tourists, while allowing an immersion into the somewhat outdated atmosphere of the bar. But beyond the game of hide and seek created by these reflections, what particularly attracted me was the possibility to integrate into a single frame an abundance of information on our time, with all its contrasts, whether in terms of architecture, lifestyle or people - including their moods. It is this play on forms, meaning and atmosphere that I wish the viewer will see.
